With 1 week in the books for the South Asian Softball League – what have we learned? We have learned that playing at Seamans Neck Field in Seaford isn’t the worst thing in the world. Especially, if you are on turf.
Heavy Hitters vs Dynasty in the first match up – we saw that the team that the Heavy Hitters has brought into the league is going to be just as dangerous as the one in the spring as they gave Dynasty a real beating in game 2 after winning a close first game.
When Kunal Sra was asked about his teams sweep over Dynasty, he downplayed his teams performance by saying the following “But they had a solid team. We just caught them after a lot of games in a row”. We know better than to get the truth from Kunal. But, our experts are already placing Heavy Hitters near the top of the league.
The second match up of the week with Dad Bods and Semi Pro was a different story as these teams split.
When asked about his teams week 1 performance Captain Omar Hernandez stated “Looks like Semi Pro is not trying to play in November, maybe they don’t like the cold weather”. Does he not know that it was in the mid 80’s this weekend? The gamesmanship will continue all season between these two teams.
