Savages
During their initial 3 year run from 2017-2019, they won 2 championships and made the finals all 3 years. After that dominant stretch, the team had to split into different teams as the cap made sure of it for the 2020 and 2021 season.
During their 2017 year, they took the league by storm and lost only 2 games all year to dominate SASL and swept Empire in the Finals. In the 2018 season, they had a lot more competition but they made it to the Finals to face of against Ducks. After winning game 1, they lost the next two games to lose the championship. 2020 they added some elite firepower and once again won the championship in 3 games by beating HeavyHittaz in 3.
After a 2 year hiatus, they are coming back and there are a lot of the same swagger and winning mentality we have been accustomed to from this team. They expect to win every time they step on to the field. However, they are a older, veteran team without much youth and that may take a toll during the long summer season.

3 Questions with Captain Charley Robinson:
1) Savages are returning after a couple of years hiatus. How did the team form again during this offseason?
We had a lot of fun in the fall with Anwar’s Angels and most of us play together in other leagues and have played together for over a decade now. Saad has been begging to be a SAVAGE for years now, while we have been begging ‘Double A’ Haaris Din to become a SAVAGE. So we granted his wish and ‘Double A’ Haaris Din granted ours. This is also shaping up to be my last summer living in NY, so we wanted to take one more run at this thing together. The cap adjustments also helped us to come back together. The new commissioner has been great so far.
2) What do you expect to be your teams strength in 2022? And what aspect of your team you feel needs to be worked on?
Our strength is our unprecedented IQ and championship pedigree. I believe our entire team, minus ‘Boy Wonder’ Andy Sanchez, are in their 30’s and 40’s. And at the same time, our strength could end up being our weakness — hopefully we can keep a healthy team together throughout the season. Our pitching staff is about 7-deep. This might be our most complete lineup we’ve ever had, but at the same time we’re running lean with only 12 full-timers and 1 reserve. Know any 1-rated studs?
3) With 56 point cap and 9 team, how do you think the competition will be and who are your biggest threats?
I’m hearing good things about the competition. It looks like opening up the roster limitations a bit could help the league grow. Looking forward to one more run.
